This is All About Him – Reminder

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16 (NIV)

Before starting this ministry, the enemy tried to talk me down. I’m not a theologist, pastor, or Bible scholar. I’m not a trained writer either. English is not even my native language. The only experience I had was sharing my walk with our Lord with groups of men weekly over 12 years. During all these years, I would read the New Testament over and over—I lost count. When I finished the Book of Revelation, I would start again from the Book of Matthew the next day. This is my first job routine in the morning before starting the shift for my second job for a living. Many of our Lord’s disciples were uneducated fishermen. If they could write what they have written to awaken millions of people during the past two millenniums, they all have been given the Holy Spirit from our Lord. Those words did not come from themselves but from our Lord’s Spirit. Their wisdom and messages came directly from our Lord Jesus Christ. They were disciples and messengers. One thing they all had in common was their trust and obedience to our Lord. Therefore, I rejected the enemy’s lies and trusted our Lord Jesus Christ by doing this for Him, not for me. I had nothing to fear and it was a complete freedom. As Paul said, if I live, it is for Christ. If I die, it is a gain. I know that I don’t need to write beautiful words to capture any attention for myself and I don’t need to cite any other books other than the Bible. The only thing that I need to do is to pass on the words from our Lord Jesus Christ to you. Then my job is done.

Our Lord had gifted me with many Christian friends, more than I could ever ask for, and I felt blessed to have people to pray for. That was something I could never have imagined before. Later in the men’s purity ministry, I saw many people who needed prayers because they faced serious challenges and trials. They humbled themselves and came to a place to share their hearts and secrets. Many were very emotional, and secrets were no longer secrets once they started to share, they felt safe. We would pray for each other and give opportunities to pray and receive prayers. We saw miracles, many of them. Those prayers were effective. Most of the time, my own problems were no longer important anymore. That made me even less asking for prayers for my own trials.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.” Ephesians 6:18-20 (NIV)

One would wonder why Apostle Paul needed any prayers from others if he had direct access to our Lord. Paul said that our Lord told him His grace was enough for him. Paul understood that while he was in the flesh, he would need prayers. He was no different from any other person. I also believe that Paul lived not for himself but for others and our Lord. Paul knew that giving has more blessings than receiving. By praying for others, we give ourselves to help others in the heavenly realm and by doing so, we also receive blessings.

I started to humble myself and ask for prayers—first because I needed them, and second, so my brothers in Christ could receive blessings from our Lord by helping me. Please pray for me that our Lord Jesus Christ can continue to use me to share His messages for His glory until His return.

This is All About Him.

Thank you so much.
