The Way of Holiness

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their Cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.” Matthew 16:24-27 (NIV)

Before our Lord Jesus Christ saved me, I was listening to many lies—lies that promoted all kinds of freedom. I believed them. Everything was Me-First. I willingly accepted the propaganda from the enemy because my heart was deceitful and wanted the whole world. I was among many on the broad road heading to the wide gate for destruction. Later, I was found at the bottom of the pit without strength and hope. I asked for help, and our Lord lowered a rope and came down to the pit Himself to be with me. He showed me the Cross, the blood stains, and the reason He died for my sins so I could live again. I wept. My eyes were opened, and my ears could hear. I could taste the sweetness of His grace and mercy. Our Lord said that whoever has been forgiven little loves little. It was not my case. My old self was crucified on the Cross with Him, and He gave me the new strength to come out of the pit.

“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:14 (NIV)

Our Lord asked us to take up the Cross daily and walk with it on the Narrow Road. From what we have seen, not many Christians know how to do that because it is often challenging, and our hearts are against it. “Spirit is willing, but flesh is weak.” our Lord knew that.

Have you thought about the true meaning of the Narrow Road?

In Daily Cross, our mission is to help you to walk on the Narrow Road and to accompany you on this journey because time is short, and our Lord is coming back soon. The goal is to strengthen your faith so you may not lose heart but fear. We will only share what we have seen and testify what we have experienced with our Lord so everything is true and honourable. Our Lord said that whoever is not with Him is against Him. He said that He is the only way to the Father. He and the Father are One. Those who are with Him follow His commands, trust and obey Him. That’s the Narrow Road in a nutshell, a road of true repentance, humbleness and righteousness.

Prophet Isaiah spoke about the Narrow Road, and he called it the Way of Holiness:

“Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way;
say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come,
he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.
The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there
,” Isaiah 35:3-9 (NIV)

May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you with humility, wisdom, and a heart of discernment as you journey on the Way of Holiness.
