12 Signs

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 (NIV)

“No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” 1 Corinthians 9:27 (NIV)

The walk with our Lord on the narrow path often involves challenges against our flesh. Some of you may not like to hear this, for our hearts have been deceitful from the beginning. I did not invent this; it is from the scriptures. The Bible is the user’s manual which teaches the human race how to live a life with fulfillment of peace, joy and love. The scriptures speak of how to overcome these challenges.

Our Lord said:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

The Gospel is about repentance for the forgiveness of sins and believing in our Lord. We have witnessed many heart changes that lead to peace, joy, and unconditional love. Those who have received this transformation often carry 12 signs, some visible from the outside and some embedded inside. These signs are the by-product of trust and obedience to our Lord.

These 12 signs are:

1.           An increased tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen

2.           Frequent attacks of smiling and showing kindness

3.           Feelings of being connected with others and nature

4.           Frequent overwhelming episodes of appreciation

5.           A tendency to think and act based on Jesus’s commands rather than from fears

6.           An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment

7.           A loss of ability to worry and trust God more than we trust ourselves

8.           A loss of interest in conflict and putting others above ourselves

9.           A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others and forgiving daily

10.         A loss of interest in judging others and being humble naturally

11.         A loss of interest in judging self

12.         Gaining the ability to love and expect nothing in return.

Would you like to have these signs as well?

You know what to do.
