Our Lord said: “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. a They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:7-10 (NIV)
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30 (NIV)
“Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the Kingdom of God is in your midst.” Luke 17:20-21 (NIV)
In the four Gospels, Lord Jesus used parables and analogies to explain things in a way we could understand. In summary, God created Heaven and the Earth, all Kingdoms and everything in them. God’s presence is everywhere on Earth, and in Heaven. God sees all and does everything and He is at work always. Jesus said, God the Father and He are one. When we see Jesus, we see the Father. No one knows the Father but the Son, and no one knows the Son but the Father. We believe and trust our Lord for everything He says. Therefore, Jesus also sees all and does everything as the Father does, and His presence is where.
As a lost and found sheep, Lord Jesus saved the author of this original song, and he followed His voice and entered the gate, the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. He can come in and go out and find green pasture and enjoy the peace and love of our Lord. He is with us always as He has promised. As a servant, the author of the song believes he needs to make disciples in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit as Lord Jesus has commanded so more can also hear His voice and come into the gate. Once you enter the gate, you will see the truth of unconditional love and stop searching for earthly things and sell everything (maybe not literally) to buy that field and the perfect pearl as the song has described as a personal experience.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” Matthew 13:44-46 (NIV)
Lyrics of KINGDOM OF HEAVEN Original Song.
I was searching, I was wandering with no hope.
I was blind, and I was knocking at the wrong doors.
I was listening to so many lies until You came along, oh Lord!
Now I’m Saved by Your Unfailing Love, oh Lord!
You alone are the Kingdom.
You alone are Heaven.
I was set free into The Kingdom of Heaven.
I found treasure, And I found the perfect pearl.
Now I can see. This new heart’s forever yours.
I was listening to so many lies Until You came along, oh Lord!
Now I’m Saved by Your Unfailing Love, oh Lord!
You alone are the Kingdom. You alone are Heaven.
I was set free into The Kingdom of Heaven.
You are the King of kings, Lord of lords.
And all my heart is forever Yours.
Oh Lord, to Your name, every knee will bow, and every tongue shall confess.
You alone are the Kingdom. You alone are Heaven.
I was set free into The Kingdom of Heaven.
I was set free into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Set free into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Set free into Your Kingdom of Heaven, oh Lord!
