Whoever Has Been Forgiven Little Loves Little – Reminder

“Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.” Luke 7:44-47 (NIV)

As a group leader in the men’s purity ministry for many years, I have seen guys who couldn’t abandon their sinful behaviour, no matter how hard they tried. Some of them had been Christians for many years, including pastors and senior members of their churches. But some could actually do cold turkey and were newer believers. Those guys were considered the worst sinners compared to the lesser sinners. These guys often sought love in the wrong places and hurt their families because of their acting out. But once when they found that perfect pearl and unconditional love, they would repent and sell everything to buy that pearl. These guys would go the extra lengths for the reconciliation with people they hurt. This true repentance can only come with complete surrender and humility. Once that happens, there is no turning back. The sky opens up, and angels sing of joy.

“Last will be First!”, “A lost sheep had been found!”, “A dead man was alive again!”.

As I said many times, everyone wept when they received forgiveness for the repentance of sins. But in reality, not everyone.

Whoever has been forgiven little loves little”, our Lord Jesus Christ said.

Sins are sins. Unforgiveness is a sin. Saying Raca to your brothers and sisters is a sin. Looking at a person with lust is a sin. You know what is a sin because you read the Bible. I also know that you don’t want those sins anymore because you love our Lord Jesus Christ but the flesh is weak.

Why don’t you ask for His help and let Him know that you are ready?

With our Lord and Savior, everything is possible.
