There Is Still Time To Repent

“Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.” Psalm 146:1-5 (NIV)

I believe our Lord’s return will be in 2027, some say 2030. The difference is little. I also believe the next president of the United States will be the last president. The current Pope will also be the last one. I shared how I came to this conclusion in Daily Cross. I have no intention of causing fear. If Daily Cross is for Christians, whoever reads this shall be joyful because our Lord is coming soon. Imagine the person you love the most and who loves you the most is returning. Your hope and faith become tangible and can be seen and touched. Don’t think about the sound of “End Time”, which may sound scary, but think about the beginning of the promised “New Era” without tears and no more suffering, only peace, love and joy.

Let’s say I got it right with the year of our Lord’s return, and the next president of the United States is indeed the last president. What would it matter who wins in the debate? What would it matter who becomes the last president of the United States? He may be able to fix the economy, inflation, gas prices, housing, immigration and all the treasures on the earth. He may broker peace plans between the parties in war and rumours of wars. He may also win a Nobel prize. I say “He” because that’s the option they are showing us. He can always become a She.

But this last president will not be able to fix hearts. The hearts of many have gone astray, and they are on the wide road heading to destruction. Only our Lord Jesus Christ can fix hearts. Which of these presidential candidates can call out the lies of the enemy? They cannot because they have all followed the same lies to get where they are: power, manipulation, pride, secrets, money, and lust.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV)

I used to invest time and energy in following geopolitics. I thought the right politicians could help store treasures and bring peace to the world. When I focused on those politicians, I was not thinking of the heavenly treasure in my heart—even my mouth said so. Our Lord was always right; we can only have one master.

Once I stopped to trust those people, my heart started to cleanse without all those noises and resentment. I rejected what the world wanted me to do, and it allowed me to see and choose the real treasure in heaven. The prince of this world had no our best interest in his plan. Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for you and me, has our best interest in His heart. Politicians on both sides of the aisle work for the same motive. They all seek the highest offices on earth. They will entertain and distract you from being a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ because there is nothing for them to gain when we focus on the treasure in heaven.

Let’s say I got it wrong. Our Lord does not return in 2027, and more presidents will follow after this one. Does it matter when the hearts are still the same and the wide gate is approaching? Our Lord Jesus Christ will surely return because He does not lie.

There is still time to repent.
