“The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.” Isaiah 57:1-2 (NIV)

Isaiah was a famous prophet who prophesied the Messiah’s first coming and the return. Isaiah 53 describes our Lord Jesus Christ, but it has been removed from the Tanakh (The Hebrew Bible) so Jewish people wouldn’t connect the Messiah to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a sad thing. Our Lord said He will leave no doubt to no one when He comes with His army of angels from the sky for the second time. I have heard someone say that when the real Messiah comes, if He happens to be Jesus Christ, then so be it. I think it would be too late when that happens for that someone.

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” Matthew 23:37-39 (NIV)

Isaiah saw many things in the heavenly realm and understood God’s plan. His plan is to prosper us and not to harm us. God is the creator and decides what to do, when, and how. I thought of sharing this with whoever has been going through the difficulties of losing someone you love. Who really knows the purpose behind these tragedies? We can only judge from what we know from our limited knowledge. We do not see beyond what our eyes tell us. We walk by sight most of the time, but our Lord has a purpose for good. Isaiah saw that when a righteous person is taken from this world, it is to save them from suffering from evil. Our Lord promised to come to take us when the time comes. for those who believe in Him. Imagine the big mansion He has prepared for us: the dwelling place of our Lord and the Heavenly Father, where there is only peace, love, and joy—zero suffering, nada.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

I cannot smooth anyone’s pain and suffering by using words; only our Lord Jesus Christ can. He is the expert. Most of the time, pride is the only thing stopping someone from surrendering to Him completely and trusting Him after knowing Him.
