Midweek Prayer – A Disciple Warrior

“He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Mark 16:15-18 (NIV)

As disciples, our Lord says we can heal the sick and drive out demons. I believe in His promise, and I have seen those miracles with my eyes and touched with my hands. These were the main ministries of our Lord when He walked on Earth. Sadly, many no longer believe this promise and don’t even believe the enemy exists. In that case, the battle has already been lost for them.

The enemy and his minions have increased their relentless attacks since 2020. Many of those minions are not supernatural beings. Their mission is to lead people astray and reduce the number of faithful to delay the appointed time. Revelation 6:9-11 tells us the number of faithful has to be reached. For the enemy, this is personal until the time is up. Maybe you have seen the spiritual attacks but had doubts about what they were because no one has explained them to you. Some of those attacks may have been done to your loved ones using tactics of confusion, anger and fear. It is not the mental health that the world wants us to believe. There was no subject of mental health in the time of our Lord, and we are not superior to the Apostles and Disciples in those times. A pottery cannot fix itself; it needs the potter. It is up to us to take up the shield of faith and fight back with prayers as swords to counter the enemy’s offensive.

What do you have to lose? Absolutely nothing!

The following prayer is very effective for a disciple warrior.

“Dear Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ,

Thank You for Your Mercy, Grace and Love.

I believe all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Please forgive me, humble me, give me a heart of discernment, guide me and lead me away from all kinds of temptation.

Because I am your disciple, I have been given strong faith, wisdom, power, and a sound mind to heal the sick and free the oppressed.

In the name and authority of my Lord Jesus Christ, I command the enemy, evil spirits and demons to stay away from me and be out of my presence so I can be free to follow the will of the Heavenly Father to trust and obey His Son.

I belong to my Lord Jesus Christ, and the evil ones cannot touch me.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
