Living Water

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-5 (NIV)

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:6-7 (NIV)

Our Lord said He and the Father are One, and He is the only way to the Father. The world claims there must be more ways to reach God, the creator of the universe. Some think there are millions of ways. Whoever thinks that they think too highly of themselves. They make God their own image.

I have learned that our Lord is always right. He couldn’t explain many heavenly things to us because we would not understand them. Apostle Paul understood this because he was invited to visit the Third Heaven and heard inexpressible things that he could not tell, so he said we knew in part for now but shall know fully when the time comes.

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Genesis 1:1-2 (NIV).

Our Lord called Himself Living Water. Water is the source of life; no one can create water from nothing. Water behaves differently compared to all other substances and materials on Earth. When a living thing dies, it dries up, and no more water is in it. God was with water in the beginning. I can only imagine everything in the beginning was holy. Our Lord was with the Father in the beginning and was the Word and also the Living Water.

Now, I treat all water as Living Water. Without water, there is no life in this realm. With our Lord Jesus Christ, there will be everlasting life in the next realm.
